Thank you to all of our awesome volunteers, co-leaders, and community partners for making Arbor Day weekend at Friends Park a wild success! We had nearly 90 participants, planted over 100 trees and a 100 more ornamental plants! Plus we hacked away at a lot of invasive English ivy.

A Special thank you to Bryan Stewart and his awesome park crew at Chehalem Park and Recreation District for putting in extra effort to make sure everything was prepped and ready for us. We couldn't have done this without your amazing partnership and help organizing the event! Bryan and CPRD also brought A+ snacks to keep our volunteers' energy up. Thank you for all you and your crew do to care for our parks and trails every day!

Shout out to Sustainable Solutions Group of the Newberg-Dundee Area for bringing so many people to the event and showing us how we can all take care of our community and planet. You're a fun and passionate group and we can't wait to work together more!

Thank you Grace Baptist Church for sharing your parking lot for overflow parking and Pastor Casey Banks from Newberg First United Methodist Church for chauffeuring volunteers. Your support with this logistics challenge was essential to the event and putting our nerves at ease about how we would get our volunteers to and from the park.

And thanks to our other community and stewardship partners for sharing information and support: Newberg Public Library, Oregon Equestrian Trails, Northwest Trail Alliance, Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District, Oregon Music Academy, Yamhelas Westsider Trail American Hiking Society (and any others we might have missed)
